Piglets from Six Oaks Farm are typically weaned at 6 weeks of age. Our piglets are from pastured stock and come already trained to electric fence. We have 2 lines of Heritage Breed piglets to choose from. Our "White Line" consists of Bluebutt sows(Yorkshire X Hampshire) bred to either our Bluebutt boar or a Large Black breed boar. Our "Dark Line" consists of either Hampshire, Tamworth or Lg Black X sows bred to one of our breeder Large Black boars.

 Six Oaks Farm is in the process of starting a new breed of Heritage Swine that will be called Carolina Forest Spot Hogs. This is a very long process and will take years to accomplish. We have already started our new line and have generations of pigs to breed to improve it. These will be a superior breed of swine that will perform very well on pasture, requiring little additional feed inputs, and will produce an amazing quality of pork that will be lean but well marbled with little surface fat.

 

  We offer our current pastured piglets in two price ranges. They are $65.00 for feeder pigs up to 8 weeks old and $85.00 for breeder potential pastured piglets up to 8 weeks of age. We have piglets availabe most of the time. We also have unrelated piglets available most of the time. Please call the farm for availability and place a deposit below. Deposits are $25.00 per piglet.
